For years, clients have traveled hours, and sometimes across state lines, to sit with me and talk through their hair. Not just what they want, but what will actually work for their face shape, hair density, lifestyle, and maintenance tolerance.
Lately, something interesting has been happening:
People from outside the U.S. have been finding our blog posts, saving haircut photos, and reaching out with the same questions.
So we decided to do something about it!
Introducing Virtual Hair Consultations
Virtual consultations are a one on one Zoom session where we talk through your hair goals in detail, without you needing to be in Southern California.
This is not a generic CHAT GPT consultation. It’s a strategic, personalized and professional breakdown of:
What haircut or shape actually suits you
Why certain styles won’t behave the way you expect
How your hair texture, growth patterns, and density affect outcomes
What to ask for (and what to avoid) when you sit in your stylist’s chair
Color Consultations and Formulas
Haircut designs to take back to your stylist
Think of it as bringing a master stylist for a consultation into your home, wherever you live.
Who Virtual Consultations Are For
Virtual consultations are ideal if you:
Love our aesthetic but don’t live nearby
Are seeing a stylist locally and want clarity before committing
Have had repeated “almost right” haircuts and want to fix the pattern
Want a plan you can reuse with future stylists
Are growing out or dramatically changing your hair
Want expert input without trial and error regret
This is especially helpful for razor cuts, layered shapes, fringe, shags, and lived in styles. Haircuts that rely on structure, not trends.
What Happens During a Virtual Consultation
Each session is conducted over Zoom and lasts approximately 30-60 minutes.
Before we meet, you’ll complete a short intake form and upload:
Current photos of your hair (front, side, back)
Inspiration images (optional)
Notes about your routine, frustrations, and goals
During the session, we’ll:
Analyze your hair texture, density, growth patterns, and face shape
Talk through realistic outcomes and maintenance
Design a haircut, color, or grow out strategy
Translate that strategy into clear language your stylist can follow
After the Call: Your Hair Blueprint
After your consultation, you’ll receive:
A written summary of your haircut plan
Visual references or diagrams (when helpful)
Key phrases and terms to use with your stylist
Product or styling guidance (optional)
This gives you something tangible to bring into the salon, so you’re no longer hoping someone “gets it.”
